Pronunciation apps?

So here I am with a device in my pocket that has a microphone and what would have been considered a supercomputer not that long ago.

Couldn't it, in principle, be programmed to display a vowel, invite me to say it, and analyze the sounds I was making to issue diagnoses like "round your lips more" or "move your tongue forward"?

Are there already such apps? The obvious searches turn up quite different things from what I'm imagining.

The resources category is used for collections of resources, and doesn't permit answers to posts - it's more wiki-style collaborative editing. I can't move this post for technical reasons, so could you repost this in Q&A and delete this post? Sorry for the inconvenience.
