How should we customize the Resources category?

−0

I have created the Resources category, as requested. There are a couple customizations available that I have left blank for now:

  • The short description at the top of the list.
  • (Override of) help that is shown when someone starts to create a post. This should give guidance on how to write a resource article, specifically.

What should these be filled with?

Description:

A community wiki for language enthusiasts.

Help text:

  • Provide a short description of each resource you post
  • Add a language tag to your post (where appropriate)
  • If you are listing multiple kinds of resources, break them up using markdown formatting so categories are easy to distinguish

Help text will need more but see comment above.

Also please suggest edits and I will incorporate.

I don't think it should be limited to being for language students (which I take to mean 'people learning a language'). I take the scope of the Resources section to be the same as the scope of the site: pretty much anything about languages goes.

Changed students to enthusiasts - better?

Perhaps it would be worth explicitly mentioning "resources" in the description?

To me a wiki is nearly synonymous with resources - I considered "wiki and resource library" but that seemed redundant. I don't have a terribly strong opinion one way or another.
