Feature request: Ruby text

As a Japanese learner, I think it would be really helpful if posts could contain ruby text. While I would use it mostly for Japanese, it's not something specific to it. I can see it being used for other languages as well, where currently I see people adding romanizations after the text, eg. here.

While possibly a bit of a stretch for our current software, we could also try to add in a shortcut for ruby text. Japanese.SE has a script that converts [text]{gloss} into something that isn't html ruby but functions pretty much the same¹; we could make something similar.

It also has various other features that I feel would improve this site a lot, such as IPA support, but that's a different discussion ↩
